His unwavering commitment to ensuring the financial success of each of his clients, coupled with exceptional mathematical and analytical skills make him a key asset to the company. Andrew believes that wealth management involves more than just looking after a client’s money via a series of “transactions”.  His collaborative approach entails taking a more holistic view in order to understand the intricacies of each client’s financial picture and their financial ambitions and objectives in order to help them achieve financial wellness in the long term. His refreshing personality and approachable style, solid knowledge of the financial industry and impeccable attention to detail reflect the integrity of his role within the company. Andrew holds a double Bachelor of Mathematics/Business Administration degree from the University of Waterloo.

When he is not “watching the numbers”, Andrew enjoys playing golf, annual ski trips to the “big hills”, the camaraderie of his card club, travelling, spending time with friends and the tranquility of his lakeside Muskoka cottage. He can also often be found taking in a game or watching action movies with one of his 3 adult sons. Andrew and his wife, Jennifer live in Waterloo and share their home with their beloved yellow Labs, Poppy and Ruby.

Tony Rickert who holds a Certified Financial Planner designation started Rickert Financial Group with his brother in 1996.   After 25 years, Tony is still passionate about helping people achieve their life goals through personalized financial strategies.  “I believe that my clients deserve a life of fulfillment and peace of mind.”

Tony graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1989 with a BA(Hons) in Political Science coupled with a Business Administration Option.  He has developed a deep knowledge of varied businesses, industries and their financial processes.   His “Guidance Process” helps clients develop long term personalized life plans by piecing all their financial needs together.

Outside of the office, Tony maintains a healthy work-life balance.  He stays active by jogging and playing pickleball and golf.  Tony lives in Mississauga with his wife Mona and their Shi-poo, Bijou.  His three grown daughters are moving along with university and work.

Since joining Rickert Financial Group over 25 years ago, Jennifer continues to be a key player in the company. With an Honours degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, she brings industry experience, a broad spectrum of knowledge and a strong work ethic to the Rickert team. One of her many roles in the company is that of Manager of Marketing and Corporate Promotion.  In this role, she is responsible for managing new and existing marketing programs and executing client specific marketing initiatives and directives. Additionally, Jennifer assumes the role of Corporate Controller, responsible for all of the duties associated with the corporate accounting and maintenance of the company financials. This role demands impeccable attention to detail, efficient work habits and a strong business acumen.

Away from the office, Jennifer stays active with gardening, working out, taking long walks with her beloved yellow Labs, and ski trips to the "big hills". Entertaining family and friends, reading and spending time at the lake with Andrew and her 3 adult sons are also well-loved pastimes.

She is largely responsible for the daily operation of the office and ensures that the administration of client transactions run smoothly and accurately. With her friendly demeanor and cordial manner, Pat is available full time to provide first rate client service, answer administrative questions about client portfolios and initiate and process transaction-related paperwork.

Outside of the office, Pat is an avid reader, loves to cook, is perhaps the biggest "dog lover" ever, and is an exceptional baker of specialty cakes. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her beloved granddaughters.

Arveer first joined Rickert Financial Group in January 2019 as a co-op student from Conestoga College – Business-Marketing Diploma program.  Since her graduation from the program in April 2020, her role has expanded to full-time and now includes more day-to-day client correspondence, processing trades and transactions and answering client and fund company questions and queries.  She is eager to learn and is currently working towards several industry designations with the objective to become a fully licensed administrator.  Affectionately known as Arvi among colleagues and friends, she brings a new and fresh approach to our small office environment.  

Outside of working hours, Arvi enjoys watching Netflix and loves to satisfy her inner fashionista with shopping!  Spending time with close friends and family – especially when it involves cooking and eating together – is also a much-enjoyed past time.

6-step Financial Strategy Process


STEP 1: Establishing and defining the client-advisor relationship

We explain or document the services to be provided and define the responsibilities along with the responsibilities of the client. The advisor and client should agree on how long the relationship will last and on how decisions will be made.

STEP 2: Gathering client data and determining goals and expectations

We will asks about your financial situation, personal and financial goals and attitude about risk. We then gather all necessary documents at this stage before giving you any sound advice.

STEP 3: Analyzing and evaluating the client's financial status

We analyze the information to assess your current situation to determine what must be done to achieve your goals. Depending on the services requested, this assessment could include analyzing your assets, liabilities and cash flow, current insurance coverage, investments or tax strategies.

STEP 4: Developing and presenting the financial strategy recommendations and/or alternatives

We will offer educated recommendations that address your goals, based on the information you have provided. We review our professional recommendations with you to allow you to make the best informed decisions. We listen to your concerns and considerations, and revise our recommendations as appropriate.

STEP 5: Implementing the financial strategy recommendations

We work with you to agree upon how each recommendation should be carried out. Together, we may choose to have us carry out the recommendations for you or serve as a "coach", coordinating the process with you and other professionals such as attorneys or stockbrokers.

STEP 6: Monitoring the financial strategy recommendations

Together we will agree upon who, and how, we will monitor your progress towards your financial goals. We report to you periodically to review the financial situation and adjust any recommendations as needed. As our client, we will always keep you informed and knowledgeable when it comes to your financial strategy and situation.
